Port Blair, Apr 29: Tourism Department is organizing “Flea Market”(Weekend Utsav) on 2nd & 3rd May, 2015 at Marina Park, from 4 pm to 10 pm by the support of Individuals, Cultural Associations, Self help groups, NGOs etc with the sole motto of promoting the local culture, cuisine, art & handicrafts and also to encourage the participation of the local towards promotion of Tourism in the Islands. Entertainment events like roller skaters, mini golf, and any other fun games during the event will be allowed. Participants can exchange or sell their personal belongings like books, music CDs, clothes, small furniture, accessories, jewellery, appliances, crockery, decorative items, hand paintings, utility products, homemade local pickles/ masala items etc.
The interested local cultural troupes/organization, who wishes to perform voluntarily at Flea Market on 2nd and 3rd May, 2015 may approach the Tourism Department.
To make the event truly a diversified, interesting & rejuvenating weekend festival applications are also invited from interested participants for setting up kiosks stalls during the Flea Market on 2nd & 3rd May, 2015 at Marina Park as per the terms and conditions of the Tourism department. The application form in this regard can be obtained from Directorate of Tourism or can down load it from the official website www.and.nic.in , Tel No 03192-244081. The filled in application form should reach to this office on or before 1st May, 2015(05.00 PM)
