Port Blair, Jan 09: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A&N Islands, in a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration has urged for immediate declaration of summer vacation for the educational institutions of these Islands for the year 2015.
The General Secretary of the Association, Shri D. Ayyappan, in the letter has mentioned that without knowing about the summer vacation, the people are unable to plan their visit to mainland and purchase flight tickets in time.
In another letter written to the Secretary-cum-Director (Education), the Association has requested for declaring the summer vacation in two spells, viz. from May 1 and May 15, 2015.
