Port Blair, Nov 21: Nearly 20 people have been arrested by police yesterday from Brookshabad area for fighting in public. According to reports following some arguments a fight broke out between labourers of two different states, involved in construction of Air Force establishment at Brookshabad.
Soon more labourers joined the fight in support of labourers from their state and the fight took serious shape. Nearly 200 labourers are kept in Brookshabad area by contractors for the said work.
Soon police team reached the spot and picked up 20 people. All these people were kept in lock up at night, it is learnt. Later in the morning all the labourers were released in bail. As usual there were no one in Police Department to comment on this case.
