Port Blair, Aug 28: In response to the Modi Govt “PRIME MINISTER JAN DHAN YOJNA” SBI, Billyground Branch today i.e. 28/08/2014 at 10 AM Organized an Bank Account Opening Mela in Billyground Vegetable Market. Large no of villagers gathered on the occasion to open their “O” Balance Account in SBI, Billyground Branch. On the occasion Mr. Hiranmoy Roy was the Chief Guest.
Mr. H.M.Roy and Smti. Saraswati Kar, Branch Manager,SBI, Billyground addressed the gathering. Mrs. Kar pleased to see the huge gathering of villagers and their willingness to open SBI ACCOUNT. She explained the villagers about the benefits to open this Account under “Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojna”.
Branch Manager requested to the villagers that next day i.e. on 29/08/2014 again the SBI, Billyground Branch official will be present on vegetable Market from morning to help the villagers to open new SBI Account.
At the end of the day the Branch manager informed that today in the opening day of the Mela total 135 Accounts were Booked.
