Port Blair, July 31: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) A K Singh, today reviewed the progress of important projects/schemes of all the Departments of the A&N Administration. The Chief Secretary and all senior officers as well as Directors and Deputy Directors were present in the meeting. The meeting, held at the conference hall of the Secretariat lasted for two and half hours. While reviewing the progress, most of Inter-Departmental issues were resolved. Specific directions were also issued by the Lt Governor for expeditious action on all fronts.
The Lt Governor directed that he will be monitoring all important projects and unwanted delays on the part of the officers shall have to be accounted for. The next round of reviews on the progress of these projects will be carried out after two months.
