Port Blair, July 31: The INTUC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma along with a delegation of General Employees Union met the Chief Port Administrator, Port Management Board on 30th July, 2014 and discussed many issues relating to service matters viz recruitment and promotion, amendment to the recruitment Rules for the posts of Head worker, signalman and winch man, withdrawal of case lodged by PMB against 80 odd stevedores of ALF, payment of arrears for incentive and additional wages accrued since 2011 on account of increase in DA, grant of financial up gradation under ACP/MACP, GPG account of employees with the grade pay of Rs.1800/-(i.e. previously group D employees), issue of pay slip, pension cases and disbursement of retirement benefits etc and demanded immediate settlement. The Chief Port Administrator has given a patient hearing and assured to look into the matter.
