Port Blair, July 8: Like every year, the Directorate of Health Services and Union Territory Health Mission, A&N Island will observe ‘World Population Day’ on July 11, 2014 with the theme ‘Niyojit Parivar – khushiyaan apaar’ in A&N Islands along with rest of the country. The main function will be organized at community hall, Prothrapur, South Andaman on July 11 at 10.30 am. The Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Miss V.K. Mariyam Bibi will be the chief guest while the Chairperson, Social Welfare Board, Smt. Ratna Kannan will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
