Port Blair, July 08: The newly promoted and constituted A & N Islands Welfare Committee for Senior Citizen met Chief Secretary of 04.07.2014 at 10 AM and the delegates of the committee of the committee requested the Chief Secretary about extension of various facilities to Senior Citizen implementation of A & N Islands Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen rules 2012. The Chief Secretary after passionate hearing assumed to make arrangement for implementation of new rules formed in the Administration for the benefit of senior citizen and parents for which delegates exposed their gratitude to the Chief Secretary prior to needing with Chief Secretary the delegates also met the delegates of social welfare who also assured will necessary action for implementation of rules relating to senior citizen and parents.
The newly formed Senior Citizen organisation initially will start to function from Unnati office, Haddo till it arranged some other place for its permanent office. Interested Senior Citizen and Parents may contact Unnati office, Haddo. They may also contact other office-bearers who volunteered to work for welfare of senior citizen and parents and arranging assistance as per available A & N Islands Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen.
