Port Blair, June 26: There was interruption in power supply from 12.30 AM on the midnight of 26.06.2014 to till evening of 26.06.2014 at Haddo, Delanipur, Buniyadabad and All India Radio area. It was not due to load shedding or power cut as enough power generation capacity is available. The interruption in power supply to these areas was due to unexpected failure of underground cable at some portion at Haddo/Buniyadabad, the Executive Engineer (HQ) said in a press release adding that the fault has since been rectified by the engineers and staff of the Electricity department and normal power supply has been restored by evening of 26.06.2014 to these areas.
