Port Blair, Mar 21: The Andaman and Nicobar Tri-Service command today said that India is sending two military aircrafts to Kuala Lumpur for the multi-nation search operation of Malaysian Jet MH 370.
“One C 130J of Indian Air Force stationed at Port Blair returned to Mainland India today while replacement C130J left for Kuala Lumpur at 1200 hrs from Port Blair,” a senior Military Officer of Andaman and Nicobar Command today told ‘Andaman Sheekha’, who does not want his name to be quoted.
He said that Indian Navy’s Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft P8I is also likely to fly for Kuala Lumpur from Mainland India.
“Two Indian Navy ships from Andaman Nicobar Command are searching off west coast of Andaman Group of Islands from 0800 hrs today in conjunction with ships of Easter Naval Command,” the senior ANC officer added.
He said that one P8I aircraft of Indian Navy, which is already located at Port Blair is searching seas south of Great Nicobar Island and west of Sumatra.
Meanwhile many countries are already hunting for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean, which has not yielded any result so far.
