Port Blair, Mar 21: A good number of Presiding Officers and Polling Officers appointed for conduct of General Election-2014 today acquainted themselves with handling of Electronic Voting Machine (EVMs). The Master trainers designated at District Office, South Andaman imparted training to the officials about handling the EVMs on poll day. Apart from the officials, the general public also got an opportunity to operate the EVMs much to their satisfaction. It may be recalled here that two training EVMs along with Master trainers have been designated at District Office, South Andaman (at the Transit Pass issue Room at the Ground Floor of District Office, South Andaman) to impart training to Presiding Officers and Polling Officers who may be requiring additional experience on handling of EVMs on poll day. The Cell shall remain open from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs with a break of one hour from 1300 hrs to 1400 hrs. All concerned can avail this opportunity.
