Port Blair, Mar 15: The Indian Navy conducts a recruitment drive exclusively for the educated youths of the Islands at INS Jarawa centre at Port Blair on 29th of this month. The drive is being conducted to select the candidates for appointment as sailors in Indian Navy.
The unmarried male Indian citizens from Andaman and Nicobar region, having passed 10+2 or equivalent level with Maths and Physic subjects are eligible for the recruitment. According to the official notification, the candidates should have been born between 1st August, 1991 and 31st July, 1995.
The candidates will be selected through a process of written test and Physical fitness test, followed by the medical examination. The question paper for the written test will be of objective type in four sections i.e.,English, Maths, Science and General Knowledge. The prescribed Syllabus for the written test is available in the naval website –nausena-bharti.nic.in.
In the physical fitness test, the candidates are required to complete the 1.6 kms run in 7 minutes, besides performing 25 squash ups and 10 push ups.
The candidates looking for a challenging career in Indian Navy are advised to report at INS Jarawa, Navy office at Port Blair on 29th morning at 06 30 hours.They are required to bring their original certificates along with attested copies in support of their educational qualifications, enrollment in NCC, residence proof, age limit and ten recent pass port size colour photographs.
