South India met the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration on 13th March 2012 and discussed various issues of these Islands like to formulate and enact regulations for registering individual flats like in Mainland to enable the common man to purchase house at nominal rate; The cost of the construction materials have increased exorbitantly and beyond the reach of the common man. So it is imperative to issue more quarry licence to regulate the price of the quarry products; Regulate the issue of Bar licence only for Hotel and Restaurants with lodging facilities who are actively involved in Hospitality Industry; There is acute shortage of water in the entire A & N Islands, in spite having rains for more than nine months and in order to solve the water crisis it is essential to form a Water Management Board, There is massive encroachment in lands allotted to the Schools and the constructions of the School buildings are done without proper master plan. Therefore the entire area of the Schools should be demarcated and proper fencing under NREGA and Horticulture in association with Agriculture can be carried out to create an ideal atmosphere for value and quality education. Master plan for the entire Schools can be prepared and construction can be carried out as per the master plan and Sanction of fresh loan and taking over loans of the registered SSI Units of Hospitality Industry by ANIDCO with good track record to avail the interest subsidy for the benefit of the local entrepreneurs.
