Port Blair, Mar 13: The President of BJP’s A & N Unit, Mr. R Mohan has urged the Chief Secretary to increase the relief amount for fire victims of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Mohan said “Revenue department is granting Rs. 750/- and Panchayat is granting Rs 500/- to the family of fire victims which is not at all worthy for such cases. With this petty amount a family of fire victim can’t purchase anything.” Mohand demanded to increase the amount to Rs. 10,000.
