Port Blair, Mar 12: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, has urged the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to give due respect to all elected representatives of public and invite them in government function.
Citing example of two recent public programmes of Prothrapur and Chouldari, where no public representatives were invited by the Administration, the MP said that those who are elected by General Public should be given due respect by Administration by keeping reserved seats for them on the stage.
“In absence of an Assembly, the concerned Chairpersons of Zilla Parishad, the concerned Pramukh, the concerned Pradhan may also be given seat on the stage and their names should also be mentioned on the inaugural plaque,” MP said in a press release today.
