Port Blair, Mar 12: The second group of the Higher Defence Management Course consisting of 70 Officers alongwith Directing Staff arrived for a familiarisation visit to Port Blair on 12 Mar 12.
During the visit the Officers visited the Headquarters Andaman & Nicobar Command where they were briefed about the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well as ANC. The Officers visited various Units, Components and Naval Ships of the Command.
During their stay the Officers would witness the Amphibious Demo to be conducted by ANC at Corbyn’s Cove and would also visit places of interest in Port Blair including Cellular jail where they will witness the Light and Sound show, National Museum, Marina Park and Ross Island. The Officers would depart Port Blair on 14 Mar 12.
