Port Blair, Mar 11: The Sub-Committee for Works, Town Planning and Improvement, PBMC was formed in the month of October, 2011 for the second year term. Members of the Committee moved a no confidence motion against Mr. Azizur Rehman, Chairperson in its special meeting held yesterday and no motion of confidence has been carried by a majority.
Subsequently, in the special meeting of the sub-committee held today under the Chairmanship of Smt. Firdosh Bibi, Chairperson, Municipal Council, Port Blair, Mr. S. Shanmugavel has been declared elected as Chairperson of the Sub-Committee for Works, Town Planning and Improvement for the remaining period of the second year term, a communication from the Secretary, PBMC said here.
