Port Blair, Mar 06: The General public of Municipal area has been urged by PBMC to avoid misuse of drinking water and refrain from drawal of water from pipe line by using electric pumps.
It is also advised not to tamper the fittings of the pipe line and not to prevent municipal staffs in discharging their duties in respect of essential services like distribution of water through pipe lines.
The general public is also advised to fix float valve in their respective tank/sump to avoid overflow.
“Any person found to violate the directive would attract disconnection of the water supply without any notice. General public also advised not to misuse the water of the water bodies / wells by washing vehicles and bathing/cleaning of animals. The general public is requested to use drinking water judiciously and should co-operate with the staff of the Council for proper service and bear with inconvenience caused in this crisis period,” a release issued by EE, WW, PBMC said here today.
