Port Blair, Feb 26: The Science Centre organized a Sky Show yesterday to enable the visitors to witness a rare celestial event in the western night sky in which the giant planet Jupiter, planet Venus & the Moon were seen lined up to form a geometrical triangle.
The visitors had the opportunity of seeing the gibbous phase of planet Venus through a powerful telescope besides, the crescent phase of moon. Further, for the information of sky watchers, the Planet – Venus & Jupiter shall be seen closer day by day and it will be 30 apart on coming 13th & 14th March 2012 forming the most brightest object in the night sky, a communication received here said.
