Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 19: Mr. Angshuman Roy, State Youth President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), has expressed sincere gratitude to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for declaring a public holiday on 26th March 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In a communication addressed to the Lieutenant Governor, he stated that the decision reflects the Administration’s respect for the cultural and religious sentiments of the Hindu community and has been widely appreciated across the islands. The declaration of the holiday will enable devotees to celebrate the festival with devotion, enthusiasm, and community participation.
He further informed that several Hindu organizations, including Hindu Seva Sangh (HSS), Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), and Rashtriya Hindu Sangathan (RHS), are organizing Shobha Yatra and rallies on the occasion. The holiday, he noted, will facilitate the smooth conduct of these events and encourage maximum public participation.
Mr. Angshuman Roy also conveyed that the entire Hindu community, along with the people of the islands, is thankful for this considerate gesture by the Administration.
