Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 19: The Directorate of Shipping Services (DSS), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has released the tentative sailing schedule for passenger vessels for the summer vacation period (April-June 2026), bringing relief and convenience to island residents, students, families, and tourists planning their travel.
The schedule includes sailings of MV Swaraj Dweep, MV Nalanda, and MV Campbell Bay, connecting Sri Vijaya Puram with mainland ports such as Vizag, Chennai, and Kolkata, along with important inter-island via Nancowry, Campbell Bay, and Mayabunder, ensuring improved accessibility across the islands. routes
MV Swaraj Dweep is scheduled to commence its summer vacation voyages from 25th April 2026, operating regular services to Vizag and Chennai to meet the increased travel demand during the holiday season. MV Nalanda will serve passengers during May 2026 with sailings to Chennai and Kolkata via key island routes, while MV Campbell Bay will operate in June, strengthening connectivity to the Nicobar region.
All sailings are subject to weather and operational conditions, and ticket sale dates will be announced shortly. Tickets can be booked online through the DSS e-portal or at STARS counters. The schedule aims to ensure safe, reliable, and comfortable travel for all during the busy summer season.
