Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 17: An awareness programme on drug abuse prevention and mental health was conducted at Humferygunj Gram Panchayat with the objective of promoting a healthy and drug-free society. The programme was organized in collaboration with National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Tele-MANAS, Police (Narcotics–CID), and Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Addicts (IRCA) South Andaman.
As part of the programme, Drawing/Painting and Essay Competitions were organized to encourage community participation and spread awareness among youth and the general public on the importance of a healthy mind and drug-free lifestyle.
The programme witnessed the active participation of local residents and students from nearby areas. The initiative aimed to sensitize the community about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote mental well-being in society.
