
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 15: The South Andaman District Police is pleased to announce that a missing minor girl reported missing on 01/03/2026 has been successfully traced and retrieved by Police Station Pahargaon.
On 01/03/2026, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Pahargaon regarding the missing minor girl, who had gone missing from her residence at Dollygunj. A case was registered and an investigation was initiated.
A dedicated team comprising SI Jyothi (IO), ASI Mohan Yadav and HC Sarojini Bara under the supervision of Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon was formed to trace the missing minor girl. The team conducted extensive searches, utilizing digital leads and technical inputs from the Cyber Crime PS and Technical Cell of SP(D)SA. Through sustained efforts, coordinated field work and timely technical support, the police team successfully traced the minor girl along with a minor boy from a remote village in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal with the assistance of Police Station Kothwali.
The minors were found safe and in good health and were subsequently produced before the CWC NJP as per legal procedures. They were later escorted to Sri Vijaya Puram by the police team with the assistance of Chairperson, CWC South Andaman.
The entire operation was conducted under the leadership of Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon under the command of Mr. Brij Mohan Meena, SDPO (South Andaman) and the overall supervision of Mrs. Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
