Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar. 10: As part of its ongoing initiative to encourage reading habits among children, the State Library under the Directorate of Education inaugurated its Fifth Tent Library at Govt. Primary School, Haddo, today. The initiative aims to create a joyful and accessible reading environment for young students and strengthen the culture of reading at the primary level. The Tent Library offers a collection of storybooks and other child-friendly reading materials arranged in an open and welcoming space. This initiative by the Directorate of Education aims to make reading enjoyable and accessible, thereby supporting the development of curiosity and lifelong learning among primary school students.
The Tent Library was formally inaugurated by the chief guest, Shri R. Sethukkarai, Vice Principal, Govt. Senior Secondary School (Telugu) in the presence teachers, students, librarians and officials from the Education Department. During the interaction, the chief guest encouraged students to develop a regular reading habit and explained how books help in expanding knowledge, imagination and critical thinking among young learners.
