Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 11: A briefing and training programme for volunteers under the Yuva Mandal Vikas Abhiyan Karyakram for Re-activation and New Formation of Youth Clubs was organized today at Andaman Mahila Mandal, Sri Vijaya Puram. The programme was conducted in preparation for the intensive campaign scheduled to be held from 12th to 16th February 2026 across South Andaman District. A dedicated team of 10 volunteers has been constituted to carry out field visits and establish contact with Youth Clubs, Mahila Mandals, Sports Clubs, Self Help Groups (SHGs), PRI members and community leaders for the purpose of forming new Youth Clubs, re-activating dormant clubs and strengthening existing clubs through expansion of membership and proper affiliation with MY Bharat.
The campaign aims to ensure registration of Youth Clubs and their members on the MY Bharat portal, preparation of a comprehensive district-level digital database, promotion of inclusive participation of youth from all sections of society including SC, ST, OBC, minorities and Divyang, and strengthening of community linkages for long-term sustainability of youth institutions. During the briefing session, Mr. Sukha Ranjan Biswas, Joint Director, MY Bharat, Sri Vijaya Puram, emphasized the importance of grassroots youth mobilization and urged the volunteers to work with commitment, discipline and coordination to achieve the objectives of the Abhiyan. Mr. Gopal Ch. Biswas of MY Bharat provided detailed guidance regarding organizing village meetings, gathering accurate data, documenting infrastructure details, and uploading complete and verified information on the MY Bharat portal.
All existing and newly formed Youth Clubs are requested to extend full cooperation to the volunteers by providing complete details including a soft copy of the Youth Club banner, aims and objectives of the club, and committee formation details printed on official letterhead with authorized signatures and official seal. These documents will be uploaded on the MY Bharat portal as part of the affiliation and data consolidation process.
