Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 06: The ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’-2026 (PPC) programme was screened live today in the conference hall of TGCE, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the initiative of the Education Department, A&N Administration. Students from various schools across the town attended the session and drew inspiration from the motivational words of the Prime Minister.
This 9th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha marked a historic milestone, featuring the first-ever multilocation nationwide engagement, enabling students across the country to participate simultaneously and benefit from this unique interactive experience.
Around 270 students of Classes X and XII from various schools of South Andaman, who will soon be appearing for their board examinations, and 33 Teachers attended the programme at TGCE. They were deeply inspired by the enriching words of the Prime Minister.
A special highlight was the participation of Ms. Nissy Philip, a Class X student of PM SHRI GSSS Swadeshnagar, who was selected from the A&N Islands to attend the programme in New Delhi. She had the rare and memorable opportunity to interact directly with the Prime Minister.
Mr. Gyan Sheel Dubey, HOO/DEO, South Andaman, remarked that the programme would serve as a source of motivation for students at large, inspiring them to perform better in their forthcoming examinations.
Interacting with the students, Principal SIE and Nodal Officer of Pariksha Pe Charcha, Mrs. Sangeeta Chand, highlighted that it was indeed a privilege to witness the enthusiastic participation of stakeholders. A total of 43,770 students, 4,938 teachers, and 3,736 parents registered and actively engaged through the PPC portal-reflecting remarkable interest and commitment. She further noted that the overall participation percentage from the A&N Islands stood at an impressive 114% percent.
Simultaneously, elaborate arrangements were also made by the Education Department for the live screening of the programme in all the schools spread across the Islands.
