
Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 05: The Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbabhishekam of Sri Lakshmi Vinayagar Temple, located at Kamaraj Nagar, Sri Vijaya Puram, will be conducted on Friday, February 6, 2026, between 8.25 a.m. and 9.25 a.m., with traditional rituals, poojas and homams.
The temple, which recently underwent renovation and reconstruction involving architectural, sculptural and painting works, is being consecrated with elaborate Vedic ceremonies. The Maha Kumbabhishekam will be performed with auspicious pooja and homam in the presence of priests and devotees.
The religious ceremonies commenced on February 4 with Vigneshwara pooja, Ganapathi homam, Navagraha homam and other rituals, followed by various kala yagavelvi poojas, mandapa poojas, Veda parayanam and pratishtai ceremonies held over the past two days.
On Friday morning, special rituals including Sparsha Huddhi, Maha Poorna Huddhi and Yatra Daanam will be performed prior to the Vimana Gopura Kumbabhishekam, which will be followed by Maha Abhishekam and Deepa Aaradhana.
An Annadhanam will be organized for devotees at 11.00 a.m. All devotees have been requested to participate in the sacred ceremony and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesh. The event is being organized by the Devasthana Committee and villagers of Kamaraj Nagar.
