Port Blair, May 20: The exposure visit of the National Conference of State Board Chairpersons to Havelock was very successful and the Executive Director of the Central Social Welfare Board, Mr. S.K.Jha expressed great pleasure for the commendable work being done in the islands for the development and welfare of women & children.
He assured the Chairperson of the State Social Welfare Board Smt. Ratna Kannan that the Central Board would extend all possible assistance to the A & N State Board. All the State Board Chairpersons and Officers of the Central Social Welfare Board expressed their gratitude for the great concern that the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands has for the issues that affect women & children. Mr. S.K. Jha also thanked the Lt., Governor and the entire Island Administration for the wonderful welcome given by the Lt Governor and the State machinery to the National Conference. He said that this is a reflection of the respect that the State Board Chairpersons command for their work in the field of social development. He appreciated the hospitality of the Coastal Cruise to the delegation and specially commended the services of the crew & staff.
