Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 02: On the occasion of World Wetland Day-2026 Botanical Survey of India organised awareness campaign lead by Regional Head Dr. Lal Singh to mark conservation of wetlands with slogan ‘Paryawaran ki yahee Pukar, Jalashay Sanrakshan Jeevan ka Aadhar’ at wetland of Jodaikalan, South Andaman. The theme of this year is “Wetlands and traditional knowledge: Celebrating cultural heritage”. While addressing the gathering Dr. Singh emphasized upon the significance of wetlands as an essential component of ecosystem.
