It is a matter of pleasure to inform the general public that the 16th National Voters’ Day (NVD) is being celebrated across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at Booth Level, Tehsil Level, District Level and UT Level on 25th January, 2026 along with the rest of the country. The theme for this year’s is “My India, My Vote” with the tagline of Citizen at the Heart of Indian Democracy.
Under the guidance of Election Commission of India, the Chief Electoral Office is organizing series of activities to mark the celebration of National Voters’ Day. The NVD Pledge will be administered to all the people present during the event on 25th January, 2026. Various activities such as drawing, skit, essay, debate competitions on the theme of NVD was organised in Colleges and awareness activities through All India Radio, Doordarshan, Print Media & social media etc.
As you aware that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2026 as the qualifying date is currently underway in the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the draft electoral roll was published on 23rd December, 2025. As per the draft roll, the total number of electors is 2,46,390 out of which 1,24,911 are male and 1,21,476 are female and while the number of transgenders is 3. The final electoral roll will publish on 21st February, 2026.
All eligible citizens, particularly those who have attained the age of 18 years, are requested to enroll themselves in the electoral roll by submitting FORM 6 along with declaration form to the respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) or through the Online ECI Portal: https://voters.eci.gov.in. Registered electors are also advised to verify their particulars in the electoral roll and avail the prescribed facilities for inclusion, correction, deletion, or transposition, as applicable. For any query, citizen may contact the toll free Helpline No. 1950.
All electors are further encouraged to exercise their franchise in a free, fair, ethical and responsible manner, contributing to the conduct of inclusive and transparent elections.
