Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 22: The Block Project Office, Diglipur, under the Inclusive Education component of Samagra Shiksha, successfully organized an Orientation Programme on the Inclusion of Children with Disabilities at GPS V S Pally, Diglipur. The programme aimed to create awareness and strengthen collaborative efforts among stakeholders for promoting inclusive education.
A total of 26 participants attended the programme, including parents, teachers, students, members of SMC/SMDC, and Anganwadi workers. The active participation and enthusiasm of the attendees reflected the growing commitment towards inclusive practices in education.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. N. Riya Nandan, PSRT, highlighting the importance of inclusive education in ensuring equal learning opportunities for all children. This was followed by an introductory address by Ms. Safina Bibi, HoI (I/c), GPS V S Pally, who emphasized the role of schools and communities in supporting children with special needs.
Seven interactive sessions were conducted by different resource persons, covering various topics related to identification, support strategies, and community involvement for children with disabilities. The sessions were informative and well-received by the participants.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Rakhi Kabiraj, BRP(CwSN), expressing gratitude to the resource persons and participants for their valuable contributions and support in making the event a success.
