
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 18: As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC), National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets undertook an educational and motivational visit to several prominent institutions and heritage sites across Sri Vijaya Puram. The Cadets explored the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Samudrika Marine Museum, Botanical Survey of India (BSI), where they gained valuable insights into the region’s rich biodiversity and wildlife, the diverse marine life, tribal culture, and ecological significance of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The educational tour further included a visit to the Marina Park and Flag Point, offering cadets an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty and strategic importance of the region. A significant highlight of the visit was the tour of the historic Cellular Jail where the cadets were briefed about the significance of the Cellular Jail and the heroic contributions of India’s freedom fighters who endured immense hardships for the nation’s independence. The visit concluded with the Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail. The powerful narration vividly portrayed the history of the freedom movement. The visit was conducted in the presence of the Commanding Officer NCC ARMY Unit Col K Y Singh.
