
Shoal Bay, Jan 18: A multi-specialty free medical camp was successfully organized by Seva Bharati and the National Medico Organization (NMO) in association with the villagers of Shoal Bay, with support and guidance from the Directorate of Health Services and ANIIMS.
The camp witnessed the participation of senior medical specialists, including Dr. Rohinder Lal (Ophthalmologist), Dr. Omkar Singh (Medical Specialist), Dr. Srikanth (Cardiologist), Dr. Ashok Pal Govindand Dr. Ajay Raj (Associate Professors / Senior Medical Faculty), who provided dedicated medical services to the local population.
A total of around 80 patients benefited from the camp. Among them, 52 patients were treated for various ophthalmic conditions, while 30 patients received consultations in general medicine and cardiology. ECG examinations were conducted for 12 patients as part of cardiac evaluation.
As a humanitarian gesture, Dr. Rohinder Lal donated spectacles to two patients and assured free cataract surgery for an elderly patient who was diagnosed as requiring the procedure.
The medical camp received an overwhelmingly positive response from the villagers, reflecting the strong need for accessible healthcare services in the area. In view of the encouraging participation and impact, it was decided to organize similar multi-specialty medical camps at regular intervals in the future.
Seva Bharati and the National Medico Organization reaffirm their commitment to serving the community and improving healthcare outreach in remote and underserved areas.
