Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 15: Ummat Public School, Sri Vijaya Puram hosted its Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 recently, showcasing the vibrant spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. Mrs. A. Selva Rani, Councillor, Ward No. 21 as the chief guest declared the meet open in which the students showcased their mettle in a series of thrilling track and field events. The remarkable enthusiasm, physical fitness, and sportsmanship displayed by students across all classes were appreciated by one and all present and reflected the school’s strong emphasis on co-curricular development.
The guest of honour, Mr. I. A. Khan, lauded the efforts of both students and staff, emphasizing the importance of sports in building physical strength, mental resilience, and moral character. The Principal, Mrs. Zohra Begum, welcomed the gathering while the event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. M. Thamarai Selvi.
