Port Blair, Feb 21: The A&N State Social Welfare Board, Port Blair has arranged Organisers’ Training Programme for 3 days w.e.f. 21.02.2012 to 23.02.2012 through Yuvasakthi, RGT Road Port Blair a leading Organisation of these Islands. Smt. Ratna Kannan, Chairperson, A&N State Social Welfare Board was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr. J. Mohanraam Kumar, C.E.O. of Yuvasakthi welcomed the Chief Guest, and Guest of honour Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) & Dr. B. Mahto , Director of Animal Husbandry by presenting bouquets.
In his welcome speech Mr. Mohanraam expressed his gratitude to the Chairperson, A&N Social Welfare Board for the opportunity given to the organization for conducting the training of Organisers for the third time. Smt. Ratna Kannan in her inaugural address advised the trainees who came from different Islands to acquire the knowledge and utilize its benefit. Altogether 19 organisers were given training by Yuvasakthi, Port Blair. Dr. B. Mahto, Director of Animal Husbandry also explained in detail about the scheme available with the Department for the benefit of rural women.
During this training period resource persons from various Departments such as Animal Husbandry, Directorate of Health Services, Nutrition Department, NABARD, District Industries Centres and other agencies will be delivering speeches on the subject related to them.
