Sri Vijaya Puram, May 5:The Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point distributed day-old Vanaraja chicks to the residents of Ograbraj, Muslimbasti and Mithakhari villages under the jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat Mithakhari. The event was held at Panchayat Bhawan of Gram Panchayat Mithakhari.
The event was graced by Smti. Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer, Shri Mohd Safiq, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Mithakhari and Smti Sanjhali Soren, Senior Veterinary Officer, Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point. A short training on poultry management was imparted to the farmer. About 45 farmers benefited from the distribution.
Shri Mohd Safiq appreciated the commendable efforts of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) in initiating this valuable step towards enhancing rural livelihood and supporting poultry-based self-employment in the region.
This initiative aims to empower local residents by providing them with sustainable income-generation opportunities through backyard poultry farming.
