Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 24: On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman)/Secretary (RD & PRI) laid foundation stone for construction of a Cultural Shed at Teylorabad village, marking a significant step towards community development and cultural preservation in the region.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs. Jyoti, Pradhan, Sippighat, along with the Block Development Officer (BDO), Executive Engineer (EE), ward members, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives, and officials from various line departments.
Speaking on the event, the Deputy Commissioner (SA) congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the PRI’s initiating such community-centric projects in the Panchayats. He further encouraged them to continue their dedicated work and take up more developmental initiatives for the benefit and welfare of the villagers.
This project is expected to serve as a platform for promoting local culture, fostering community engagement, and enhancing the social infrastructure of Teylorabad village.
