Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 06: The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram has established an ‘Innovation Hub’ for the benefit of the school & college students. The objective of the Hub is to engage students in developing new designs and fabricate new items, innovative projects, products & crafts after school hours on Saturday & Sunday. The innovative experiment shall promote independent thinking, problem solving ability and also generate innovative ideas.
Since inception, around 2000 students have visited the Hub, many enthusiasts have also enrolled as annual members and dropped their innovation ideas in the ‘Idea Box’. The membership details are as under: –
• Individual Membership:
• School Students (Classes VI to XII): Rs.2000 per year
• College Students (Science & Engineering Streams): Rs.4000 per year
• Batch: – Sunday & Saturday: 10.30 am to 1 pm & 2.30 pm to 5 pm
• Institutional Membership:
• Schools: Rs.6000 per year
• Colleges: Rs.8000 per year
• Batch: Tuesday to Friday (on prior booking only)
