Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 04: The 24th Party Congress of CPI (M) began at Madurai, Tamil Nadu on 2nd April, 2025. The Party Congress was inaugurated by Prakash Karat, Coordinator, CPI (M). Manik Sarkar, former Tripura Chief Minister and Polit Buareau Member presided over the inaugural function. As a result, we are seeing unprecedented inequality with the top one per cent of the population owning 40 per cent of the total wealth of the country.
After the inaugural session, the delegate session of the Party Congress started with the introduction of Political Review Report and Draft Political Resolution by Prakash Karat. Discussion on the two documents started on 3rd April, 2025 with representatives of each State/UT participating in it. D.
