Diglipur, April 02: Amid the public outrage over the gruesome murder case of Sahadev Dey, an online journalist of Diglipur region, a two-member forensic team from Sri Vijaya Puram arrived at Diglipur for investigation today.
According to information, the Police Department has deployed forensic experts to investigate the Sahadev murder case and accordingly the forensic team visited the prime accused Gangaiah’s land at D.B. Gram and inspected the spot where the deceased Sahadev Dey’s body was reportedly brought from NYK premises and burnt and then his body residues were reportedly buried in ground with an excavator.
The forensic team reportedly took with them two accused of the murder case and the excavator operator working under Gangaiah to the spot and the investigation was reportedly conducted under the guidance of the SDPO, Diglipur and the overall supervision and in presence of the Superintendent of Police, N & M Andaman, Shweta K. Sugathan (IPS) today.
During the investigation, the deceased Sahadev Dey’s wife and relatives were reportedly present on the spot. Photography and videos of the forensic investigation were reportedly done, while an independent witness was also reportedly present during the forensic investigation. The forensic team reportedly gathered evidences of the murder of Sahadev Dey and reportedly submitted them at the PS, Diglipur.
As per details, the accused persons will be produced before the honourable Court at Mayabunder tomorrow, the source further said.
