Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 23: Sustainability of backyard poultry depends on the health and productivity of the birds. To ensure flock health, periodic vaccination of birds against prevalent diseases is advised. Vaccination protects the birds from deadly disease outbreaks and prevents farmer’s loss.
To provide prophylactic coverage, the Department of AH&VS has arranged to carry out vaccination in the backyard poultry birds on every Monday at 9 am at Veterinary Hospital, Goalghar. Backyard poultry farmers have been requested to bring their birds and get them vaccinated.
