Sri Vijayapuram, Mar 21: A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association in coordination with Rotary Club of Port Blair conducted an audiometry and eye camp for Divyangjan at Composite Regional Centre, Brookshabad on 21 st March,2025. Dr. Aneekha ENT Specialist, Dr Tamalika Bhardwaj General Physician, Past President Rotarian Dr. Dinesh & Secretary of A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association, Ms Tiya Raj Audiologist, Smti. Pragati optometrist were present and meticulously conducted the camp. A total of 103 attendees participated out of which 47 Divyangjan received essential medical care and support. This initiative aims to provide free hearing tests, eye test and ensuring proper screening and guidance for individual with hearing concerns. Apart from the free medical camp “World Down’s Syndrome day” was observed. Dr Dinesh spoke about Down’s Syndrome and the developmental challenges, symptoms, genetic counseling, pre-natal care- though we can’t prevent Down’s Syndrome since it’s a genetic condition and not inherited, there’s no single standard treatment for Down’s Syndrome and treatment are based on each person’s physical and intellectual needs, strength and limitations.
