
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 20: The District Administration of South Andaman, in its steadfast commitment to reclaim and protect public assets, has escalated its strategically coordinated encroachment eviction drive. This concerted effort is focused on restoring government land to its rightful use, underscoring the Administration’s unwavering dedication to upholding the rule of law and preserving the sanctity of public spaces.
In Port Mout village, an evection drive was conducted with the support of police personnel, APWD workers, and revenue staff. During the operation, the revenue team successfully removed two unauthorized tin structures. A total area of approximately 800 Sq. mtr of Government revenue land has been reclaimed and restored to the government khata.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has made it clear that any future attempts to occupy government land unlawfully will be met with swift and appropriate action. The Administration remains resolute in its mission to safeguard public lands and ensure that they are used for the benefit of the community at large.
