Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar.19: A Hindi Workshop was organised today at the Training Centre of Department of Official Language for the Employees of various Units of Andaman Nicobar Command. Shri Rajendra Indwar, Deputy Secretary (OL) presided over the workshop.
In his address, he said that Andaman and Nicobar Islands comes under Region “A” as per Official Language Rules, 1976 and therefore, maximum official work is required to be done in Hindi in all the Offices of A&N Islands. He said that doing Government work in Hindi has now become much easier than before and various software has been developed by Govt. of India and with the help of such software, official works can easily be done in Hindi. He extended his best wishes to all the participants and said that they should take full advantage of this workshop and perform their maximum official works in Hindi.
In this workshop, the resource person, Shri Ajay Singh, Junior Translation Officer gave detailed important information about the online e-tools for typing and translation works and about preparation of Hindi Quarterly Progress Report. A total of 20 employees from various Unit Office of Andaman Nicobar Command participated in the workshop.
