Rangat, March 11: On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8), Gram Panchayat Rangat, under the leadership of Smti. S. Laxmi Devi, Pradhan, GP Rangat, organized a special event at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium to honor and celebrate the contributions of women in various fields.
According to information, Smti. S. Laxmi Devi reportedly took the initiative to recognize the outstanding dedication of women from the medical department, police department, schools, and PRI members, felicitating them with shawls as a token of appreciation.
Additionally, under her leadership, the Panchayat reportedly honored school students within GP Rangat’s jurisdiction who secured top positions in their respective schools. These meritorious students were awarded medals and trophies for their academic excellence.
A special recognition was reportedly given to Smti. N. Vijay Laxmi, who successfully established an agarbatti manufacturing unit by availing a loan facility under the Self-Help Group (SHG) scheme. She was honored with a shawl for her entrepreneurial spirit and contribution to women’s empowerment.
To add to the festive spirit, various competitions such as spoon race, musical ball, musical chair, and balloon inflation competitions were organized, making the event lively and enjoyable for all participants.
The event was reportedly a grand success, reflecting Smti. S. Laxmi Devi’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship in the region, the Pradhan informed.
