Sri VijayaPuram, Mar 07: The Andaman & Nicobar rowing team delivered an outstanding performance at the 42nd Senior National Rowing Championship currently conducted in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from March 03-08, 2025. Their remarkable achievements further establish the region’s growing dominance in the sport.
Amrita Minj clinched a Silver Medal in the Women’s Single Sculls (1x) event, showcasing her exceptional strength and skill. Earlier, she also won a Bronze Medal in the recently held National Games, 2025.SnehaToppo, P. Alagammal,B. Haritha& B. Haripriya secured qualification for the 39th National Games in Meghalaya, marking a major milestone for Andaman & Nicobar rowing.
Earlier, this SnehaToppo-P.Alagammalduo had also secured Silver Medal at the National Junior Rowing Championship held in Pune in December, 2024.All these talented athletes are currently undergoing intensive training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), a testament to their dedication and commitment to excellence.
