Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar. 4: With an aim to celebrate the richness of Indian literature and promote cultural and intellectual exchange and a vibrant literary culture amongst the Islanders, the Art & Culture Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in association with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, will be organizing a first of its kind Literature Festival- “Beyond the Horizon – Andaman LitFest” here this month. This three-day literature festival will take place in the auditorium of Tagore Govt College of Education, Middle Point, from 10 am to 5 pm from March 27 to 29, 2025.
Around 25-30 writers from different Indian languages are likely to participate in this Literature Festival. Similarly, around 12 local authors will also participate in this festival which aims at creating an enriching experience for literature enthusiasts.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in various literary sessions, competitions, and discussions, poetry recitation session etc., providing a platform for creativity and intellectual exchange. As part of the Literature Festival, the Official Language Department of the A&N Administration will also organize a ‘Haysa Kavi Sammelan’.
The Literature Festival will be an exciting event for both participants and attendees, offering a unique opportunity to immerse in the world of literature and explore new perspectives.
Literary enthusiasts, students and others have been invited to attend this unique event.
