Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 19: The Police Station Pahargaon successfully solved a Gold Jewellery theft case with the arrest of two accused and the recovery of stolen ornaments worth over ₹ 1.5 lakhs.
On 04/02/2025, an FIR was registered at PS Pahargaon following a complaint regarding the theft of gold ornaments from a residence in Mahaveer Nagar. A dedicated team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Mohd Elias, SHO PS Pahargaon, comprising PSI Animesh Ram, IO of the case, HC/Limbu, PC/Rahul Kumar Maurya and PC(D)/Nuka Raju.
Through meticulous analysis of CCTV footage and gathering of local intelligence, the team identified and apprehended Sajahan Sekh S/o Sh. Subidali Sekh (37)yrs Pvt Worker R/o Hatpukuria, Bhaleya, South 24 Parganas, Canning-I, West Bengal now at Barood Godown near Firing Range, Birdline and recovered the part of the stolen gold ornaments from him. During interrogation, he further revealed that he had purchased the part of the stolen gold ornaments from the thief namely Zakir Hussain. Further investigation led to the arrest of Zakir Hossain S/o Sh. Sekh Hasem (27)yrs Pvt Worker R/o near office of Andaman Tour For You, Mahaveer Nagar and the recovery of the remaining stolen Gold Ornaments.
