Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 13: It is a proud moment for the islands that Chittiboina Mageswari, a budding chess player and a student of class IX, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School Port Blair shined in the Bharatiya Naveena Kreeda Utsav 2nd International Below 1800 FIDE Rating Chess Festival-2025 held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from 10th to 12th January 2025.
Around 440 chess players participated in the tournament in which Chiitiboina Mageswari secured 4th position in the Best Govt. School Student Category by scoring 5 points out of 9 round including two wins and two draws against rated players. She was felicitated with a trophy, medal and a certificate for her achievement.
