Dr. Rohindra Lal President of A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association inaugurated the Audiometry unit which is first of its kind in A & N Islands. Dr A.P Bharadwaj Pediatrician, Dr. Tamalika Bharadwaj General Physician of Chirayu Hospital, Dr. Dinesh, Secretary of A & N Islands Private Practicing Doctors Association, Dr. Ritika Gupta, Dr. M.K Saha, Dr. Krishna Saha, Dr. Maneel patel, Dr. Aneekha ENT Specialist, Miss. Tiya audiologist were present on the occasion. The following facilities will be provided speech therapy, BERA (Brian evoke response audiometric) it’s a non- invasive hearing test that measures electrical activity in the brain in response to sound. It is used to diagnose hearing loss & other conditions that affect the Audiometry system & nervous system early diagnosis of hearing impairment can help with speech & language development, it’s safe and painless procedure & is suitable for all ages.
OAE( Oto Acoustic Emission) test measures the inner ear’s response to sound. It’s a non-invasive procedure that is often used for infants and children for hearing problems. PTA (Pure Tone Audiometry) a behavioral test that measures how well a person can hear early diagnosis of hearing loss is important to prevent further hearing loss. PTA is an accurate way to assess hearing. PTA is often used in school & is an important tool for older children, especially those with otitis media & used in pre-operative planning to estimate the risk of c/ectasia. Hearing AID.
